About Me

I graduated from MSTC's Associate Degree Nursing Program in 1999. I started my nursing career in Long Term Care for two years, and then moved on to work in Public Health for another five years. As a Public Health Nurse for Wood County, I worked with the maternal - child - health population with an emphasis in children with special health care needs, childhood lead poisoning prevention, and prenatal health.

I completed my Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing in 2003 from UW Oshkosh. I then began teaching for MSTC as adjunct faculty for the nursing program. I accepted the Lead Nursing Assistant Instructor / Program Director position at Mid State Technical College in January of 2007.

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Bellin College of Nursing in Green Bay, Wisconsin in December of 2007 where I completed my Master's of Science Degree in Nursing with an emphasis in education.  In spring of 2007, I was inducted into the  nursing honor society Sigma Theta Tau. In the spring of 2008 I was inducted into the national scholars honors society Magna Cum Laude. In March of 2011 I became a Certified Nurse Educator. I am currently writing a series of Nursing Assistant textbooks for the McGraw Hill Corporation, the first publishing in March of 2013.
