Course Description:
This course will build on the concepts and principles presented in Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology. Following completion of this course, students will be able to understand and explain the roles of the various organs systems: cardiovascular, pulmonary, lymphatic, endocrine, gastrointestinal, and renal system in maintaining homeostasis, adequate tissue perfusion, oxygenation, fluid and electrolyte balance, and the interrelationships. Students will also study nutrition and metabolism and analyze various diets and various nutrients.
Prerequisite: Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology (806-102)
