I love my job as instructor in the Urban Forestry Tech program at MSTC.  My dog, Rocket, a certified therapy dog, visits many of my classes.

I've worked with the U.S. Forest Service in MN and WI and taught natural resource classes at the University of Wisconsin. While there, I helped lead two semester long trips in the South Pacific - there's nothing like visiting Tahiti in January!  My education includes a B.S.,  M.P.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Missouri.  While in school, I had many jobs including tree research and teaching whitewater kayaking.

My family and I enjoy sailing in the Great Lakes.  I drive the Zamboni for my son's hockey and I did the Polar Bear Plunge last January 1st (brr!).  This picture is from a trip down the Green River in NW Colorado.
