I am a native of Central Wisconsin. I received both my Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing degrees from the
University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. I have worked as a Registered Nurse in a
variety of settings, including Intensive Care, Home Care and Pain
Management, and as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Employee Health & Wellness
and Rheumatology. I joined MSTC as an adjunct instructor in 2004,
which helped me realize that teaching is my true passion. After teaching
full-time for
one semester in the nursing program at Chippewa Valley Technical College, I
had the opportunity to join the full-time Nursing Faculty at MSTC in
January, 2007.
On a personal note, my wife Jody and I have been married for 28
years. We have two daughters: Leah, who is a Public Health Nurse; and Lara,
who is a senior at UW-Stevens Point, with a double major in Elementary
Education and Exceptional Education. We have one son, Lucas, who is a
sophomore at the University of Minnesota, majoring in Biology with a pre-med
focus. We also share our home with 2 dogs and 3 cats. My
interests include spending time with my family, fishing and boating and
involvement in various community activities.
