About Me:

I have a unique teaching assignment because I teach in two healthcare programs.  I teach in the Associate Degree Nursing program on the Wisconsin Rapids campus with 3rd semester students in the advanced skills course and as a clinical instructor. I also teach the Medical Assistant Clinical Procedures and Professional Ethics and the Law courses in the Medical Assistant program on the Stevens Point campus.  I enjoy working with and helping students reach their career goals.  I also learn from working with students and believe we never stop learning.

I started my nursing career as a nursing assistant then earned an Associate Degree in Nursing.  While working full-time as an RN, I continued with my education earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree and then a Master of Science in Nursing Degree with a focus on Adult Health and chronic illness. Following graduation with an MSN was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, a national nursing honor society.  I have experience in cardiac and medical/surgical ICU but found my true passion in emergency nursing, later moving into supervisory and management roles.

I enjoy being outdoors and love the breath taking sunsets Lake Superior offers, even in the winter.  I love all animals because they accept people based on their keen sense of trust. Since living in Wisconsin I have learned how to kayak on rivers and how to identify different breeds of cows.  Who knew there were so many?

Welcome to MSTC.
