AITP Student Chapter Meeting

Joe Roppe, president called the meeting to order at 1:04 p.m., the members in attendance were:

Old Business

a)     Raffle Ticket Sales: motion made by Juli to collect unsold packs of tickets from members at rummage sale, sell as many as possible there and at the bake sale on the 27^th of October. Seconded by Helen. We will assess the need for more after we find out how many are left to sell.

b)     Boys and Girls Club: Ryan not here, the issue was tabled.

c)      UWSP – Computer Connection: The issue was tabled.

d)     St. Vincent DePaul – Juli will contact them to find out if they will pick stuff up or if we have to drop stuff off.

e)     Rummage Sale: to be held October 21-22, 2005 at the MSTC Stevens Point campus

o       Food Sales:

§         Juli to get or bring: donuts, hamburger buns, pickles, chips

§         Brenda to bring: Coffee, pickles

§         Joe to get: Soda

§         Everyone to bring: 1 pound of hamburger made into sloppy joe’s

§         Need to line up coffee maker

§         Need to line up pop cooler

§         Helen to bring: Nesco roaster

§         Prices

·        BBQ Plate (BBQ, pickle, chips, and soda): $2.50

·        Just BBQ: $1.50

·        Coffee: $.25

·        Donut: $.25

·        Soda $.50

o       Media Promotions: Joe read the ads for the radio public service announcements, Juli will handle the newspaper ads.

o       Volunteer Hours: The sign up sheet was sent around, and will be posted by Sherri’s door for people to sign up.

o       Items to sell: Bring items on Thursday, October 20, 2005, Juli will price items (Helen and Brenda will help as much as possible).

o       Disposal of items: See point d above.

New Business

a) SAB report from Doug Spindler: Family Fun Night on the evening of October 27, 2005. They are looking for volunteers to help them man the food table, distribute candy, help with children, and various other activities. Several members present volunteered to assist.

Next Meeting

Next meeting to discuss the rummage sale will be on Monday October 17, 2005, at 1 pm in room 163.

Adjourn

Helen Davis moved the meeting be adjourned, seconded by Juli Swenson.  Motion carried.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:10 p.m.
