The Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) Student Program is designed for students planning careers in information technology or related fields. AITP Student Chapters provide students with opportunities to participate in the information technology community and to explore various career opportunities.  Complete professional development requires knowledge that goes beyond the classroom, especially in an ever changing profession like IT.  The club is intended to complement classroom studies by providing students networking opportunities with IT professionals, IT education, testing competitions, company tours, national conferences, and community service projects.

The program also gives area community professional AITP members an opportunity to provide insight and guidance. Students majoring in information technology have made a commitment to a career. Student Chapters represent AITP's commitment to helping them become future leaders in information technology. Student Chapter members are also eligible to apply for scholarships provided by the AITP Wisconsin River Valley Chapter!
