History of the Scholarship

The Stevens Point Chapter, AITP Scholarship fund was started in September 2000 when the chapter was formed.  Right away the chapter formed a philosophy of giving back to its membership.  It was decided by chapter membership to set aside 10% of all its fundraising efforts into a designated fund for the purpose of starting a chapter scholarship.

It took the chapter five years to raise $500 in this fund.  During the Fall semester 2005 the chapter contacted the Mid-State Technical College Foundation to set up the scholarship.  The first scholarship distribution award will be in the Spring 2006 semester.

Look for more information on the Mid-State Technical College’s website under MSTC Foundation or get an application form from the Student Services Office.
